Downtown is a NotchRail station on the City Circle, L1 North-South Line and L2 East-West Line. It is a major three-way interchange station, serving as an important transfer station for services to the southern suburbs, in addition to serving the busy central business district suburb of Downtown and the nearby CS Tower. Downtown is the fifth-busiest station in the NotchRail network in terms of total stations and exits.
