The N2 Castlebrook Line is a rapid transit line in the NotchRail network. It was formerly coded Line 16.
The line is coloured grey and orange on NotchRail maps and timetables.
History[]
The line first opened to Castlebrook in 2054. The line was extended to Pinemeadow in 2057. At the same time, the line was quadruplicated from Castlebrook to Silverdale University. Another extension to Littleroot Town happened in 2058, followed one year later by another to Viridian Town.
In 2061, the outermost two tracks in the section of quadruplicated track were dedicated to express services. This meant platforms 1 and 4 at Newborough and Silverdale stations were not used.
In 2063, Silverdale began to expand as a suburb. Express services began stopping at this station. In exchange, express trains stopped only at Silverdale University during AM peak for outbound, and PM peak for inbound.
The quadruplication reached Strathfield station in the same year.
Opening History[]
- December 27, 2054 - The first section of the line, from Op Castle (now Notchropolis University) to Castlebrook, with 6 new stations, opens.
- September 19, 2057 - An extension to Pinemeadow, with 4 new stations, opens.
- February 5, 2058 - An extension to Littleroot Town, with 1 new station, opens.
- January 14, 2059 - An extension to Viridian Town, with 1 new station, opens.
- May 26, 2060 - Strathfield opens.
- August 19, 2062 - Glasgow Park (now Glasgow) opens.
- May 10, 2067 - An extension to Central, with 1 new station, opens.
